This is a legacy community with limited Juniper monitoring.

  • 1.  CMOS error on SSG 320

    Hi,

    I am having the following message while booting a SSG320 device...

     

    "

    CMOS Settings Wrong
    CMOS Date/Time Not Set
    Press F1 to Run SETU{
    Press F2 to load default values and continue

    "

     

    but nothing happen if I press F1 or F2

     

    is there any solution? except replacement of the hardware.

    Hello Nashim,

     

    I doubt, if F1,F2 kets are not responding

    Hi,

    I have tried with different pc and laptops, i have also replace the CMOS battery with a new one, but still no progress,

    Chances are you are using the "console" via com port, telnet and SSH Client (*Like Putty)

    make sure you have the "keyboard" emulation correct with in what ever you are usign to console across

    try each but something like VT100+ should allow keyboard control.

    If you make it in

    do F1 run setup .

    then exit and discard changes

    - device should boot normally with previous settings

    if that is what you need
