    Hi all,

I have a question to ask you guys.

I know most of Juniper Firewall is needed License for using IPS.

For example, in case of SSG-520, IPS license name is "NS-DI-SSG550".

Like this, I know about License.

The point I make a question is below.

    If I haven't a License, can I use IPS function a little???

or can I  never use anything else??

    Hello,

IPS featurre on ScreenOS is known as DI (Deep Inspection). To enable it, license is required as per the link below.

DI and IDP (ISGs) both require a license.  Without the license, the attack database will not load.

For SSG series devices you can get a trial license to test features.  If I remember right they last for 30 days.

Use the form here to request the license trial and get a key to install.
