  • 1.  How to get Hardware ID?

    How can I get the hardware ID (needed to generate my license keys) from either the CLI or GUI?

    ScreenOS 6.3R3 on an SSG20. It was printed on the box - which got recycled.

    Hi Alan,

     

    Do you mean Serial Number or Hardware Version? 

     

    You can type in this command at the CLI to get serial number and other information about your box: get system

    Not serial number. Actually I may be mistaken here (thinking of Hardware ID on SSL VPN).

    When I go to generate the license keys for an SSG it just needs the serial number and auth code.

     

    Sorry, looks like a false alarm.

    I believe you just need the "serial number" to get license keys. 🙂
