Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knows how the VSYS licensing works in a NSRP cluster between two ISG2000 or any capable Netscreen device that has active/active or active/passive HA configuration. Will I need to purchase two identical VSYS licenses -- one for each ISG2000 in order to use VSYS in a NSRP / HA cluster, or will I only need one license for the master device ?
Also will NSRP work between two ISG2000 devices with slightly different physical ethernet interfaces :
Device 1
slot 1: NS-ISG-FE4
slot 2: NS-ISG-FE4
slot 3: NS-ISG-SX2
slot 4: NS-ISG-SX2
Device 2
slot 1: NS-ISG-FE4
slot 2: NS-ISG-FE8
slot 3: NS-ISG-SX2
slot 4: NS-ISG-SX4
Thanks in advance for your help.
Regards,
Dennis

System licenses are based on each device serial number. That means you will need a separate license for each member of the cluster since both devices will have different serial numbers.
Also NSRP only supports hardware that is identical for each cluster member. That means you need to have same type cards in same slot location on each box.
