Memory Resources High

We have an SSG5 running 5.4.r7.0 and having extremely high ping response times.  However, getting through the VPN tunnel is not a problem.  Checking the WebUI Alarms, the following error is all over -

 

Cannot allocate 40960 bytes of memory


What is the fix and why did this all of a sudden happen?  The device has been online for 438 days.

The error means that memory is low on the box. Do you have many UTM features turned on for this firewall?

I think that you have a memory leak for some reason. It may be easier for you to open a JTAC case to look into that as memory troubleshooting is pretty involved.
