This is a legacy community with limited Juniper monitoring.

  • 1.  Netscreen 50 VPN software

    hello guys, is there a VPN client software for Juniper NS 50?

     

    If I had configured the NS-50 VPN, how do I connect to the VPN remotely?

    What version of ScreenOS are you running or can you run on the NS-50?

     

    The Shrew Soft client will work for remote connections.  But these posted firewall side instructions are for ScreenOS 6 software.  There will be differences in the menus and setups for version 5.4.  I'm not sure if the feature is supported in earlier versions.

    5.4.0r25.0 (Firewall+VPN)

     

     

    What you mean by run on the NS-50?

     

    After I have done the configuration on the juniper vpn, to connect remotely will need the software on the link below?

    NS is just an abbreviation for Netscreen so NS-50 is Netscreen-50.

     

    Yes, you will install and use the Shrew soft software on the PCs that need to have remote access to the site.  This software allows the PC to have an IPSEC VPN with the firewall.  The configuration outlined in the tech note above creates the firewall side of the tunnel.
