I'm unable to change the trust-vr virtual router-ID to a manually entered ID.  No error messages occur, it just returns to the (trust-vr routing) screen and continues using the system default.

Does anyone know why this would be?

I using the GUI.  ScreenOS 6.1.0.r2.0

we need to first disable OSPF on the Vrouter before router-id can be changed (CLI gives an error, while the WebUI does not).  I'm trying on SSG5, running 6.3.0r12.

Here is an example of trying to change router-id from 1.1.1.1 to 2.1.1.1 without disabling OSPF on the vrouter.  Get an error

ssg5-> get vr untrust router-id
vrouter untrust-vr router-id for BGP and OSPF is 1.1.1.1

ssg5-> set vr untrust router-id 2.1.1.1
vrouter (untrust-vr) router-id cannot be set: OSPF is enabled, disable it first.

Change in router-id works after disabling OSPF on the vrouter.

ssg5-> unset vr untrust prot ospf enable
ssg5-> set vr untrust router-id 2.1.1.1
ssg5-> set vr untrust prot ospf enable
ssg5-> get vr untrust router-id
vrouter untrust-vr router-id for BGP and OSPF is 2.1.1.1
