  • 1.  Prevent redistribution of BGP routes

    Posted 05-07-2014 08:03

    Hi all,

I have what I think is a simple question, but I'm having a hard time wrapping my head around it.  We have two sites, lets call them A and B.  These two sites have BGP between them.  Site A shares 192.168.0.0/24 to site B, Site B shares 192.168.2.0/24 with site A.

We also have partner VPNs that also run BGP.  I want to be able to only share the route of each site.  For example, I want site A to share only the 192.168.0.0 route with the partner site, and not share the 192.168.2.0/24 route learned thru BGP with the partner.  The same is true for Site B.

So current config ends up confusing our partner site.  It looks like this

    Site A FW Advertised routes

192.168.0.0 (local route, this is wanted)

192.168.2.0 (discovered from BGP, this is not wanted)

From what i've seen, it sounds like some sort of route map is what I want, but I can't figure out how to configure correctly. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks

    Pete

This was exactly it, somehow my google-fu failed me.  Thank you very much.
