This is a legacy community with limited Juniper monitoring.

  • 1.  SNMP query failed

    hi guys,

     

    I just installed new NMS but unfortunately no respond from ssg when the query sent by SNMP.

    before this I had old NMS but I just remove ssg from that NMS. 

     

    Any idea how to solve this?

    Hi,

     

    Did you verif if the IP address of this new NMS is there in the firewall's SNMP config.

    And the community used in new NMS is correct ( Matching with firewall's SNMP config) ?

     

    Are you getting any events on firewall when you try to poll the device.

    I thought the ip address is for SNMP trap only, polling not required to set ip address.

    So, if I have a multiple NMS@polling engines, I need to config multiple ip of the NMS server right?

    Yes, you need to set the IP addresses for all of them in the device SNMP config.
