    Hi,

I'm a novice at networking and have inherited the management duties in our small office. I was asked to set up an unused Cisco router to allow VPN access to our network for a few teleworkers. With a lot of community help I have most of the VPN working.  The last thing I was told I needed to do was provide an additional route on our SSG5. It is setup for an internal network of 192.168.1.0/24 and servers as the gateway (192.168.1.1) to the outside. The VPN tunnel provides an address in the range of 192.168.5.100 to 192.168.5.102. Can someone tell me what command I need to use on the SSG5 to provide a route back to the 192.168.5.0 network?

    Thanks

    Brad

I'm having a little trouble picturing your topology.  I'm assuming the Cisco you mention is the termination point for the VPN.  And that would be on your SSG LAN somewhere.  But what are the connections?

To create the route we need to know the interface the traffic will leave the SSG on and the gateway ip address that will receive the subnet (the cisco I assume?).  Substitute the correct interface and the ip address of the vpn box reachable via that interface as the gateway.

    set route 192.168.5.0/24 interface ethernet0/0 gateway 1.2.3.4

    Hi,

The only access I have to the SSG5 is through the web based management page. Where do I navigate to through the menus to add the route and if I make a data entry error how do I go about deleting the route?

    Thanks for the help

Assuming you are running version 6 software, routing is under

    Network--Routing--Destination

Once you add manual routes there is a remove link next to them for deletion.
