    Hi,

I want to get some stats for cpu, memory, policies etc from firewalls. I do not yet have an NSM installed to do this.

Is this possible and how would I go about it?

    Thanks

There is quite a bit of reporting even without NSM. You can see it from the GUI or from the CLI. Some basic CLI commands include:

    get counters

    get system

    get chassis

In each case do a question mark to determine other options -

Do a get policy to see your policies, followed by a get policy id xx to see details. get session allows you to drill into specific flows.

From the web look at the reporting tab for the GUI equivilant to some of the above CLI commands.

Hope that gets you started -

    Thanks,

Can this be sent via snmp? and what info would I pick up at the server end?

I see under the GUI there is a map for Critical, Warning etc.
Do we have the definisions of what these incur, what would a critical warning be?

Can I get cpu mem interface bandwidth this way?

    Again thanks for your help

Running out the door for a meeting so short on time - but - yes you can enable SNMP reporting - done under config / admin / report settings - very detailed stats

Interface bandwidth is available but you need to turn on "Traffic Bandwidth" on the I/F 's in question. I know I posted a thread on this in the past couple of months.

Good luck and welcome to the Juniper Forums!
