Updateprocess SSG 550 / 520

Hello,

 

I have a little question about the Updateprocess from the SSG 550 and 520 with NSM.

 

The Firewalls are working in cluster-mode and are high available. Does the Firewall restart after the firmware update process? So I should only one firewall and than the other firewall in the cluster? Or is it possible to update both firewalls i one cluster without reboot´s or offtime?

Yes, The OS upgrade requires a necessary reboot !

 

You can upgrade the backup first. Once it is up and running , failover the master to this device

and upgrade the other one. In this way you can avoid any outage.
