Upgrading NS-204 and OS level question

I am upgrading my NS-204's from 5.2.0r3 to 5.4.0r15 this weekend and I have conflicting in info on the upgrade path. I open a Ticket and they said I need to go to any version under 5.4.0r10 before going to r15. The 5.4.0r15 doc says I can go direct. 

 

Has anyone done this or can anyone clear this up?
