This is a legacy community with limited Juniper monitoring.

  • 1.  Upgrading the ScreenOS (SSG model)

    Hi All,

    I have an issue that is bothering me..Smiley Sad

    So I want you guys to tell me solution!!

     

    From now on I upgraded using following steps.

    1. Connecting the cable to the PC to F/W.

     

    2. Assigning the IP on the F/W (Same network with PC)

     

    3. Turn on the TFTP program.

     

    4. After Using the command(save software ~). download ScreenOS.

     

    What is the fault I missed?...

    Hi,

     

    Sorry, I am unable to understand the problem.

     

    In step-4, you issue the command 'save soft from tftp x.x.x.x <filename> ....' correct?

     

    What is the error you see? What is the exact problem?

    right, save softwawer from tftp ~~ 

     

    I don't know why it was not working properly...

    You could try a different tftp server program.  I've had issues with some not working, Pumpkin is one I remember would not work.  But the free Solarwinds utility did.

    Did you unzip the file?  It should end with a .0

     

    Also, I have seen many times where the OS firewall (Windows firewall, IPTables, etc) is blocking the TFTP server inbound connections

    Yeah of course I unzip the file.. ( ssg~~.0)...

     

     

    Hmmm.

    According to your opinion, ScreenOS is blocking the TFTP server?..

     

    However, from now on it was working properly.

    It is mystery ..

    Thanks to you, I solve the problem.

    Maybe MS is upgrading the Windows.

     

    Following your opinion, I blocked Windows Firewall.

     

    After that, Its procedure is successful.
