  • 1.  Using IP/Netmask to define an approved span of IP Addresses

    Posted 04-14-2009 06:00
Within my firewall software, I can not set a specific span (##.##.##.2-30) instead I have to use IP/Netmask, so, if I am allowing an entire 1-255 group it is pretty easy...

    ##.##.122.0/24

but, what do I put if I only want to allow 2-30 (I am hoping someone can save me the 'binary' math..)
    ##.##.122.0/?????

    Thanks..

/27 is the closest you can get (it includes the .1 address as well)
