What is the advanced key?

Hi I have an NS50 which has an advanced key installed. I could not find for what this key is.
I saw that on a cluster only one has the key installed.

Allows you to expand the capabilities of the device . You can purchase various keys that either increase the capacity of existing features or enable new features.

like Deep inspection, VLAN ,........etc

Is this something I have to retrived like a subscription or is it in from the beginning of the purchase of the hardware?

If you do a "get license" command from within the CLI you will be able to see what is licensed on the box and what features have been enabled.

Back in the 5.0 days, when it was still NetScreen, there was a "Baseline" offering and an "Advanced" offering.  Baseline basically had smaller capacities than Advanced, and a few features were not available in Baseline, like DRP.  Simply put, Advanced just gives you more features, and more capacity than Baseline.

Oh, and this is not a subscription key, but a one time key.  Once you have it, it's yours.  There is no renewal required.
