  • 1.  What is the real memory allocated on ISG1000

    Hello all,

    I suffer from whether it is correct memory?

    Please see below verification.

    nsisg1000-> get system
    Product Name: NetScreen-ISG1000
    Serial Number: 0133022008000263, Control Number: 00000000
    Hardware Version: 3010(0)-(04), FPGA checksum: 00000000, VLAN1 IP (0.0.0.0)
    Software Version: 6.3.0r21.0, Type: Firewall+VPN
    BOOT ROM Version: 1.1.0
    OS Loader Version: 1.0.3
    Compiled by build_master at: Fri Dec 11 00:27:51 PST 2015
    Base Mac: 001b.c067.b300
    File Name: default (nsISG1000.6.3.0r21.0), Checksum: 9893d240
    , Total Memory: 1024MB            <--- It shows 1GB memory!

    --------------------------and------------------------------------

    nsisg1000-> get memory
    Memory: allocated 519743328, left 253053040, frag 39, fail 0   <-- It shows 512MB memory...

    ---------------------------------------------------------------------

    I thought it was supposed to allocated 1GB... but it shows 512..

    I'm confused what is the corrct figures.

    Hello,

     

    The 'get system' output shows the total memory available, i.e. the actual physical memory on the device.
    The 'get mem' output does not add up to the total memory displayed by the "get system" output.
