This is a legacy community with limited Juniper monitoring.

  • 1.  few question related to SSG5

    Dear guys,

     

    Please kindly help me to figure out some issues related to Juniper SSG5

     

    1/ How long log file can be stored on this devices?

     

    2/ What's the latest firmware for SSG5?

     

    3/ How long will take if I want to upgrade SSG5 Firmware? Does this upgrade affect to current configuration on SSG5?

    Hi,

     

    1. The onboard memory allocated for logs is small and older logs will be overwritten by new ones. Best option is to send logs to a syslog server for archiving.

    2. 6.3r18

    3. Normally under 10 minutes. No, configuration will not be lost - just make sure that you save the configuration before upgrade. But, depending on your current firmware, you might have to upgrade first to an imtermediate firmware before going to 6.3r18.
