firmware update 5gt

Hello,

I have some problems about  firmware update on netscreen 5gt version 6.2

1. Is there any know issue when I update from 4.0.0r2.3 to 6.2?

2. I got the message "The uploaded file cannot be recognized as a valid software image file. Please double-check with your supplier"

3. 4.0.0r2.3 only can be useing with IE6, It' a trouble.

That is a pretty big jump in ScreenOS code.  You may want to do a step upgrade first before jumping to 6.2.  I believe between ScreenOS 4.0 and 5.0 there were some changes to the file structure.  You may want to go with ScreenOS 5.0 first, verify that loads and then move on from there.  Remember also that you need to unzip the ScreenOS files when you download them before you upload them as well.  Hope this helps you out.

But I cannot find screenos 5.0 on this website, The Oldest is 5.1, And I got the same message.

You should be upgrading to 5.0.0r11 , its end of support though

You might want to check with Juniper TAC , based on your support status they might provide the required OS

Also i saw the screen shot , did you unzip the file that you downloaded from the website before trying to browse and install it ?

H'mm are you sure you are using 5gt code, not ssg5? That would explain this message.

Yes! I unziped The file "ns5gt.5.1.0r4e.0.zip" to "ns5gt.5.1.0r4e.0"

I cannot find screen 5.0

so I update firmware by CLI command

And already update to 6.2.

Glad to know you have upgrade successfully !

however just note 6.2 is a heavy Screenos for 5gts and you will see the memory bar in RED

nothin to be worried about  thou.
