This is a legacy community with limited Juniper monitoring.

  • 1.  upgrade from 5.4r7 to 6.3.x

    Hi

     

    Im having to up grade my ssg550M from 5.4r7 to 6.3.x and Im confused by the upgrade notes:

     

    Which bootloader should I use? The 6.3 upgrade doc mentions loadssg500v105 but their is a loadssg500v107 available.

    The upgrade path for a single ssg550 is bootloader -> 5.4r8 -> 6.3r10 but for a nsrp set-up it says 6.0.0r7-> 6.1.0r8-> 6.2r2-> 6.3x. Should I go to 5.4r8 first? I cant go to 6.0r7 its not available any more!

     

    Im due to do this tomorrow morning.

    Hi Normski,

     

    In upgrade guide page 8 inside the pdf if upgrading to 6.3.0 boot loader upgrade recommended but not required.

    Thanks but Ive read that already. The main issue is that the upgrade path for my version of software includes a version of software that is no longer available. (though I do have a 6.0.x firmware file somewhere).

    So what why has 6.0.x been dropped has it been naughty?
