Hi,
I have the following setup that I am trying to use, any help would be appreciated..
On the romote site I wlll have a T1 internet connection (SSG20) and as the backup loopback I will try to use a wireless connection form a different ISP, but this connection will be DHCP so dynamic ip will be given.. T1 is static..
The think is that if I go to the configuration on the nsm it allows me to do this setup with no problem, I can add the loopback backup to the ethernet port that will use the wireless connection (btw, connecting a cradelepoint device).
When I import this configuration device to the NSM software (2008_2.r1) I get the error that the "IP addres must set for loopback interfase Member" is its ok in the Juniper configuration..
In this case (picture) the loopback.1 (serial1/0.1) is the T1 and the Ethernet0/2 is the wireless conecction as backup.
Any way to make this work?
Thanks..
Not sure if this is right place for this post, if not please move it to the correnct one.
Thanks...
I have attached 3 pictures that show exactly what I am talking about..
Also, another question that may be related and help: is there a way to connect via nsm to the juniper unit using a dns name (like dyndns.org service) instead of an ip address? I could maybe have the wireless dynamic ip routed via dyndns service if I could use the name...
