As the mobile “r”evolution hurtles with warp speed and takes all of us with it for the joy ride, it is imperative that we step back and observe the various trends that are contributing and causing this phenomenal pace of change. I will attempt to use these trends as a watershed moment and shed light on the critical but not often discussed topic of “security” - the last bastion of protection and on which the entire mobile community depends to maintain, preserve and protect the services that we all demand and consume at will.

The topic was tools for success, enablers and key success factors for deployments of next generation broadband networks. It generated a lot of interesting dialogue and one thing immediately became very clear: we all shared a very similar view of the major transformation that is underway in the mobile industry.
