    I’m holding a JNCIS-ER certificate which was issued on Oct 4, 2007.

I checked the certificate status in Cert Manager it shows a status of “Inactive”.

I’m interested in taking a renewal exam to recertify my Juniper certificates if my existing JNCIS-ER can be used to fulfill prerequisite requirements for written exams for JNCIS-ENT or JNCIP-ENT.

    Please kindly advise.

    Hello,

Yes, you can use your Inactive JNCIS-ER to fulfill the prerequisite requirement for either the JNCIS-ENT or JNCIP-ENT supporting exams.

Hi Tyler, Thank you for your fast reply.

But the status is supposed to be Expired? Since more than 5 years passed already from its issued date. Or it is because I joined the JUNOS Enterprise Routing Certification Fast Track program?

Of course, I'm happy to know that I can continue to take exams for JNCIS-ENT or JNCIP-ENT but just want to confirm it before sitting down a exam. Thank you.

Associate and Specialist level certifications on the legacy Enterprise Routing, Enterprise Switching and M/T Series Certification tracks are in a permanent state of Inactive for the time being. The JNCP has decided not to expire these certifications in order to allow candidates holding them to transition over to the new Enterprise Routing & Switching and/or Service Provider Routing & Switching certification tracks. This helps you avoid having to start with the JNCIA-Junos and work your way up the applicable certification track.
