I am interested in building a lab to prepare for my JNCIA, I will be doing my JNCIA first then CCNA, as I would like to have both certifications, and I am failry new to juniper and would like a starting poiont for building my Juniper lab.

If you are looking for hardware, the EX switch or SRX devices are good starter boxes for the exams.
You can also download a free demo of the virtual vSRX and set this up in virtual box for a virtual lab.

The JNCIA junos is a entry exam to test you TCP/IP and networking 101 + Junos knowledge.
You need to be formilar with JUNOS. Get a EX switch or a SRX (but put it in packet mode) and learn Junos.
Also there is a way to get Junos Olive in GNS3.
Yes, for the JNCIA the EX switch is sufficient to get familiar with the CLI for the exam.
If you plan on pursuing the JNCIS-SEC or ENT you might consider going for the SRX instead.
