Dears ..
I am planning to prepare for JNCIE-ENT , so If I buy small SRX-100 and I turn it to work in packet mode can I practice all the required technologies “commands “ to pass my JNCIE-ENT lab exam or I need to have some EX switches and J series routers ??
Thanks

Hi ralwarrag,
The SRX100 is a good choice, it will serve you well. You can expect some EX switching as well.

Thanks a lot Jcert for your reply
So SRX are not supporting all of Switching technologies that required for JNCIE-ENT lab exam , is there any small EX series switch “8 port ” to have in the lab

Hi ralwarrag,
Correct, while some SRX devices support some L2 features, they don't support the full set of L2 switching features you find on EX switches.
Currently the smallest EX switch is the EX2200.

Can we use SRX 100 to prepare the JNCIx-SP track?

Hi Chen,
It's still too early to say for sure what will be in the exams. My best response at this point is that the SRX will likely support some of the SP topics, but not all.
The view of things will become clearer as we get further into this year.

Does SRX 100 support TE FRR and VPLS?
The datasheet on Juniper website lists RSVP only.

and also can i use srx to prepare for the JNCIE-SEC and to i need more than one srx-100 or one with logical system is enough

yes vpls and rsvp support for srx100 even p2mp lsp
but the biggest disadvantage is bgp-rr support
as i know bgp-rr only support for srx650 above
