    Hi,
I got a job offer from a network integration company. It has an "implement specialist" partnership with Juniper.
The salary is composed of two portions: the first one is a very average fixed salary that I earn while in my country. The second one is a small amount of money that I earn from my missions overseas. I haven't worked overseas before, so it'll be a new experience (good or bad? I don't know).
They told me that they'll help me get Juniper certs, JNCIP and possibly JNCIE.
I actually work for a bank doing network administration on Cisco gear, and I'm studying for TSHOOT exam (last one to CCNP)
    What do you think?

That is an excellent offer, I work in  a similar company that wants to sponsor my JNCIA-JUNOS and JNCIS-SEC. I think you should go for it. You will live to appreciate it for life.

    Hi,

I have both CIsco and Juniper experience on both the corp and partner side.  Juniper stock is on the rise, migrations from Cisco and other vendors has been steadily increasing and I see significant value in Juniper certs in years to come.  If it's a solid company with good benefits, I would consider it and most likely go for it.

    Good luck.

    Firewall72,

This company does not offer attractive benefits, aside from sponsoring my certs and eventually JNCIP and JNCIE. and it's a small one. So it's a little risky.

    Going for it means:

    -  no more advantages in the bank (saturdays off, insurance,..)

    - a new adventure (living alone in foreign countries)

    - no social life as now

    I'm still hesitant.

Make sure all your costs are covered (e.g. don't LOSE money by doing this).  And make sure you can back out whenever you feel like it (or that you are comfortable with whatever term is on the contract)....

    Go...  have fun!  Learn stuff!

    You're only young once!
