    Hello,

I have been looking at this forum and I can't seem to find any info on recertification if an individual is dual/tri track certified.

I am considering which track I want to do at the expert level and the other two to leave them at the professional level.

    For instance JNCIE-SP + JNCIP-ENT + JNCIP-SEC. Or a similar sort of combination like 3x JNCIE.

I am however wondering if it comes to renew certification if I will be forced to pay for 3x JNCIP exams => 3x $300 and add the expense for purchasing the official courseware.

I am struggling to justify $1000+ cost every couple of years just to keep all my Juniper certifications. Is there a composite exam or plans to create a composite exam for this type of scenario?

    Regards,

    Francis.

+1 for the composite exam idea. It gives me pause to pursue other tracks due to the expense of maintaining them and time. Remember some of us need to mantain multiple vendor certs. What I like about the Cisco path, is they encourage you to learn other technologies by allowing you to recertify your existing track certs. However, I like that Juniper maintains the value of their certifications by having you renew each track. A composite exam would be an excellent compromise.

    Hi Francis, X,

We are considering something along these lines for development in 2013.  We're not in a position to announce anything yet, but will get back with more info as it becomes available.

    Hi Kieran,

At the same time you are deliberating this, would you also consider how the JNCIS-ENT certification will impact the OFabric Specialist, seeing that its obscurely been made a prereq.

Will one continually have to maintain both or having made the initial investment are you able to focus on just the one?

    Hi Cj,

Happy New Year to you as well!

Short answer, each credential will stand apart for recertification, so you would need to recertify JNCIS-QF and JNCIS-ENT separately (or, for the latter, pass an exam further up the ENT track).

    Cheers,
