New Benefits Coming To JNCP

Hey Guys!!!

I was just updating our Ed Svcs management team on all the cool enhancements we expect to launch for the JNCP in the first weeks of Oct and thought I would give you all a heads up.  Each of these will be highlighted in a separate, detailed post from me as we roll them out - so keep an eye out for that and spread the word.  For now this is what you should see in the next few weeks:

1. New Exam Released - On Oct 1 the JN0-343 Specialist, Enterprise JNCIS-ENT exam will be released, along with the training that leads to this credential.  You will also see this test, with study guides, offered via the FastTrack promotion.
2. eCertifications - we will be replacing our paper certs - which often never make it to the candidate or are very slow getting through the snail mail process - with eCerts that you can down load directly from the Juniper learning portal.  If you are certified look for an email from JNCP on this in the next week.  You will need to understand the detailed instructions on how to down load your eCert.
3. Practice Tests - Candidates have often asked us for "real" practice tests that represent the requirements of the cert exams, are free and don't represent possible exam fraud.  So we are responding!!!  Soon you will see practice tests posted on the JNCP certification website - starting with the JN0-360 Specialist, Service Provider and JN0-343 Specialist, Enterprise.  These practice tests follow the same blueprint as the live exam, are pulled from a pool of questions so that multiple attempts provide exposure to different questions and give you a summary at the end on your performance in each section covered by the actual exam so that you can assess your skill gaps and seek training for those areas.
4. Additional lab testing capacity - We have invested in two additional testing racks so that we can better meet the explosive demand for our lab based exams.  These will go on line in October.  As many know - our P and E level exams are in high demand so we have had trouble meeting demand in a reasonable timeframe.  This additional capacity will help address this issue.  Please note that if you already have a lab exam registration you will not want to move that as our 60 day cancellation policy is still in effect.
5. Automated grading solution for lab exams - We have automated grading for our M series lab exams with the objective of tighter turnaround times on getting your results to you.  This grading solution will be rolled out over the course of October so the full impact will be seen in November.  To set expectations - we still have significant hands on grading to ensure a high quality grading process so turn around will still be around 10 business days.  However, it will not be the somewhat longer timeframes many have experienced lately!
6. Exam Security Program – Juniper is implementing a strong and comprehensive exam security program designed to protect the integrity and reliability of the credential you have invested so much time and expense into.  This starts with new fraud detection processes in place for our exams – we are now analyzing all exam results to determine if exam fraud occurred and will take action if any is identified.  Please check out the new certification policies and procedures on the cert website and the new Candidate Agreement to see what Juniper considers exam fraud (http://ow.ly/2IeBt).

eCertifications

Hopefully there'll still be a way to order properly printed certificates. I believe this was stated a while back but would love confermation. I know many of the local partners have a wall dedicated to their employees' certs and to have the Juniper ones looking like they came out of a laser printer would obviously not look as good.

I do agree that the printed certs do take far too long to arrive, over two months to get to Australia

Yes, we will put in place the ability to request paper certs.  The candidate will have to pay for these however.

When will the ecertifications be available, apparently the Juniper Champions website asks for all certificates to be uploaded, much easier to have ecerts available rather than scanning all certificates I have.

Good to hear eCerts will be beneficial for you!  Let me give a quick update on all these initiatives:

1. New Exam Released - DONE - The JN0-343 Specialist, Enterprise JNCIS-ENT exam was released Oct 6.  Study guides and exam vouchers available on the Fast Track portal.  A few people have even already taken the exam!!!
2. eCertifications - IN PROCESS - we are in system test for the eCerts.  Will come out in Oct but most likely the second half.
3. Practice Tests - IN PROCESS - also in system test (the same system as eCerts!).  Will come out in Oct, possibly next week..

The best thing which could be done to add value to these certs is to make it mandatory for your ELITE partners to employ Juniper certified individuals

can any one get to download  eCertifications if they already  get their certificatins by shipping? can one get a copy of certifications by shiping for one time or not ?
