    folks

as per a previous post i'm getting a couple of 1400s and i'm new to junos

i'm looking at starting with the jncia-junos part 1 and part 2 for a good grounding but i'd like access to a simulator of some kind

will an 'olive' do the job to emulate the 1400?

thanks to anyone taking the time to reply

Depends on what you want to simulate, your best bet really would be to get a couple of SRX100's to simulate the 1400's. There's some features like ISSU that aren't on the branch but you'll at least get most of the security features. Like I said, a lot of it depends on what you're doing with the 1400. Thanks, let me know and I'll try to help more.

i simply want to get some exposure to junos

i've downloaded the jncia-junos part 1 & part 2 documents but i'd like to see and configure the cli

i've my jncia-fwv and ccsp so i'm used to cli but i need to get some junos experience pretty quickly

    thanks again

    greatly appreciated

Ok, honestly I'd stick with what I said about getting a couple of SRX100's, they're fairly affordable and can do a lot. Plus you'll get exposure to all of features like NAT, IDP, and Clustering.
