I'm the CTO of the Device and Network Services group and the Chief Architect of the Security Business Unit within it. I joined Juniper in 2005 through the acquisition of Funk Software, the developer of Steel-Belted Radius server and Odyssey Access Client where I served as the CTO (I also was developer #1 of SBR). In my current role at Juniper, I am responsible for architecture and technology directions across a portfolio which includes firewalls, intrusion detection, remote access, NAC and WAN Acceleration solutions. Prior to joining Funk Software through its 2001 acquisition of Trilogy, a company I co-founded in 1994, I worked at IBM's Cambridge Scientific Center and Novell Networks.
