Juniper Networks Flexes Enterprise Next Gen Firewall Muscles
Juniper has been racking up security industry rankings and awards this year for our next generation network firewalls. This is impressive proof that it’s time to take a fresh look at Juniper’s enterprise security portfolio. See for yourself why independent analysts like Gartner and NSS Labs are concluding that Juniper deserves a place on your next enterprise firewall short list:
Gartner Magic Quadrant for Unified Threat Management 2016– Juniper nudged further up relative to competitors based on new SRX models, addition of sophisticated malware detection with Sky ATP, subscription sandboxing for malware detection, SSL/TLS traffic inspection support and the graphical, intuitive Security Director management interface.
NSS Labs Data Center Intrusion Protection Systems (DCIPS) Test 2016– Juniper SRX NGFW rocked the recent DCIPS test, outperforming many competitors on both security and total cost of ownership. Implementation of a DCIPS can be a complex process, with multiple factors affecting the overall security effectiveness and total cost of ownership of the system. Juniper SRX is a recommended solution by NSS Labs.
NSS Labs NGFW Test Results 2016 – The Juniper SRX NGFW outperformed Palo Alto Networks and Cisco in this annual test by Austin-based NSS Labs. The report highlights the efficacy of new SRX models. The Juniper SRX blocked 98.8% of attacks against server applications, 99.0% of attacks against client applications, and 98.9% of attacks overall. The device proved effective against all evasion techniques tested. The device also passed all stability and reliability tests. While our list price is slightly higher, our street price makes for a very attractive total cost of ownership.
It’s evident that the analyst community sees Juniper raising the stakes in network security. With proven best in class detection rates and full featured NGFW features, Juniper SRX should be part of every enterprise firewall purchase decision. Shortlisting Juniper makes perfect sense for current customers as well as organizations not already using Juniper routers and switches.
