This month’s J-Net member spotlight is on Sam Chung, also known as “samc” in the community. Sam has been a member for a bit under one year but has already managed to rack up over 260 posts! Now that is one active member! He recently moved up the ranks to Recognized Expert and you’ll find him assisting users with their technical questions in forums such as ScreenOS and SRX.
We asked Sam for a little bit of information about himself and found out that he is an ex-Advanced JTAC engineer, having supported ScreenOS firewalls for almost 6 years. His username at Juniper was none other than ‘samc’. Last year, he moved to his current role as a network engineer and is actively engaged in converting ISG/SSG firewalls to SRX, as well as from NSM to Junos Space. Sam loves the Junos CLI and the latest Space Security Design features. He's still a novice in Junos op and commit scripts, but he would love to gain more knowledge and experience in scripting. One of these days, he’ll be taking the JNCIE-SEC exam.
You know you're in good hands when Sam solves an issue for you so be sure to give him an accepted solution and a kudos!
