Take the Mastering Junos Configuration Challenge
Sep 9, 2013

CoverEnglish.jpgAre you a Master of Junos Configuration? If so, then this challenge is definitely for you! And if not, the vDay One: Mastering Junos Configuration book will bring you up to speed in just 3 hours.

The contest lives in Junosphere. There are two ways to participate:

  • If you already have a Junosphere account, download the vDay One book Mastering Junos Configuration, read through the content and videos including the hands-on tasks, then look for the instructions to participate in the challenge on the last page of the book.
  • If you don't have a Junosphere account YET, you can use one of the temporary credentials, and connect to a topology that is already running the challenge scenario. The Temporary access to Junosphere information document is attached to this post. The challenge is on the last page of the vDay One book.

Send your answer to vday-one-demo@juniper.net. If you have any problems accessing Junosphere for this challenge please send an email to vday-one-demo@juniper.net.

PRIZES:
1st prize - 200 Junopshere virtual machine days

2nd prize - 100 Junosphere virtual machine days

Once the 2 winners are named, subsequent correct answers from 20 participants will receive 10 virtual machine days

Note: Each virtual machine day enables you to run a virtual machine for a period of 24 hours. Promotion ends at midnight PST on October 15, 2013, but will close as soon as the maximum number of correct answers are submitted. Void where prohibited or restricted by law. Juniper employees not eligible for this contest.

Kind note for the challengers who are using the Junosphere temporary accounts

if when you connect to the VM you find files that are already in the "juniper" user home directory or in /var/tmp/ or having a recent modification date, please ignore them. They are probably leftovers from another challenger, so you are not allowed to use them. Also, if you happen to create files while you are connected, please remove them before disconnecting so that subsequent challengers do not find them.

Status: a few temptative answers received already, but nobody hit the jackpot yet. Good luck!
