Does anyone know why you would use configure vs edit on a Juniper 8216?

Hi

These two are synonyms, and AFAIK there is no difference. "edit" is actually hidden (you

need to type it in full) but it is equivalent to "configure".

If you are talking about using these commands from operational mode to enter configuration mode, there is no difference.

They are simply two different commands that have the same result.
