The Juniper Foundation & #GivingTuesday
Nov 28, 2016

We have a company filled with passionate employees who want to make a difference in their local communities. Every year The Juniper Foundation is honored to match donations up to $1000 annually per employee in the US and Canada, and #GivingTuesday, a global day for giving back, is the perfect opportunity for employees to take advantage of this benefit to support their communities.

For those looking for organizations to support, we’ve rounded up a few examples below of the nonprofits the Juniper Foundation has funded in 2016.

  • Girls Who Code is a nonprofit organization that has been working since 2012 to close the gender gap in technology. Through their Summer Immersion Program and Girls Who Code clubs, they’re leading the movement to inspire, educate, and equip young women with the computing skills to pursue 21st century opportunities.
  • Level Playing Field is committed to eliminating the barriers faced by under-represented students in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) and fostering their untapped talent for the advancement of our nation. Their SMASH (Summer Math and Science Honors Academy) program, is a rigorous, intensive and long-term STEM education for high school youth in California.
  • New Jersey Institute of Technology focuses on Future Ready Schools – New Jersey Program, which promotes digital learning readiness in schools throughout the state.

There are 52 Tuesdays in every year. We are committed to making Tuesday, November 29th unique by asking our employees to get involved in #GivingTuesday. At Juniper, the network represents innovation and collaboration, and #GivingTuesday amplifies what we stand for in the name of making the world a better place.
