Minimizing "show configuration" data results

Some configuration stanzas such as IDP take up a lot of text when displayed. If you want to do a quick review of a configuration and not look at large stanzas like that - then you can use the "except" command. IE -

 

[edit]

root@remote-test1 # show | except "security idp" | display set

 

This will show the entire config - less the stanzas matching the except. You can also chain mulitple excepts in the same show. You must use this command in conjunction with the "display set" command or your output will not be screened properly.
