What is used for core transport signaling?
In large service provider networks, LDP and RSVP-traffic engineering (RSVP-TE) are often used together. RSVP-TE is used to signal paths between provider (P) routers, while LDP is used on the Provider-to-Provider Edge (P-to-PE) links.
When designing RSVP-TE, for automatic configuration to function properly, you must enable label-switched path (LSP) usage statistics collection.
