Assigning filters

‎02-21-2011 03:37 AM

Hi

I am migrating from a Cisco router to a juniper 3200. There are about 200 sub interfaces involved. I need to apply the same filter to each one and wondered if it would be better to do a unique one per interface or apply the same one to all. The filter rules are the same for them all anyway. Would anyone have a suggestion on this please.

Regards

Aindriu

Hello,

You can do it with groups

set groups FILTER interfaces ge-0/0/0 unit <*> family inet filter flt1

set interfaces apply-groups FILTER

Please replace ge-0/0/0 with your own interface and flt1 with your own filter name.

You can use any other name for group if FILTER is not good enough.

You can use multiple interface names in the group

set groups FILTER interfaces ge-0/0/0 unit <*> family inet filter flt1
set groups FILTER interfaces ge-0/4/0 unit <*> family inet filter flt1
set groups FILTER interfaces ge-6/5/8 unit <*> family inet filter flt1
