Dead EX2200?

‎10-02-2014 01:02 PM

Hi everyone;

Hello everyone

My EX2200 switch was working properly, but today all ports stopped working. When configuring the ports are up, but when connecting a no flashing of the LED interface.

I install the latest version of JUNOS (--- JUNOS 12.3R8.7) but still does not work. I hope you can help me.

Sincerely

Jhon Castañeda

I can see at least one alarm is active, so what do you get form 'show chassis alarms' and 'show system alarms'. Also what is the output of 'show interface ge-x/x/x' for the interface you are plugging into. If the interface is up/up, you might check ethernet-switching table to see if your mac is being learned, and look at the configuration for the ports/vlans to see if the interface is configured properly.

Hi,

In this case i plug my ethernet cable in the interface ge-/0/0/0. The alarm in the system/ chassis alarm is for the management interface. The ethernet cable was tested with a cable certifier.

There a process for making a low-level format?

Thanks for your help

Greetings.

Try upgrading the firmware first before you do low level format. You could then zeroize the system and load the factory default configuration.

Format is the last recovery option to be tried, you want to practice this for real world implementation
