IPv6 and SLAAC with static address range

‎05-13-2019 08:25 AM

Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but I'm just starting to configure IPv6 on our network and I'm working on a SLAAC configuration now.  What I can't find anywhere is what can I do to reserve a section of a /64 in SLAAC for static addresses.  I've thought about using the lower half for static IPs and the upper half for the dynamic addresses since that would be a nice even /65 for each but I'm unsure how to do that since all examples use /64s.

Ok, so I've mocked up my config on a spare switch and found that what I was wanting to do isn't possible apparently.  So now my question goes to if I can't subdivide a /64 vlan via SLAAC to account for some static IPs, is my only option increasing the vlan size to a /63?  DHCPv6 isn't necessarily an option here because I have to support Android clients which don't support it.
