LAG between two virtual chassis

‎04-29-2013 12:40 AM

Hello,

Need explanation:

Refer to this example

http://www.juniper.net/techpubs/en_US/junos12.3/topics/example/interfaces-aggregated-ethernet-virtua...

Question is, whether it is possible to connect two virtual chassis with one LAG instead of two and if yes - would all links be used for transmitting.

Thank you,

Andrius

Hi Andrius,

That link is a strange example - to answer your question though - yes, it is possible (and I would even say recommended) to have all four interfaces in a single link aggregation.

That way you don't end up with spanning-tree blocking one of the LAGs as per that diagram/example.
