Hi Arix,

When you run "show chassis hardware" ; it will show all the sfp(s) and their location.

Example ::

labroot@f10-39> show chassis hardware
Hardware inventory:
Item Version Part number Serial number Description
Chassis BR0210505287 EX4200-24F
Routing Engine 0 REV 06 750-033067 BR0210505287 EX4200-24F
FPC 0 REV 06 750-033067 BR0210505287 EX4200-24F
CPU BUILTIN BUILTIN FPC CPU
PIC 0 BUILTIN BUILTIN 24x 100 Base-FX/1000 Base-X
Xcvr 0 REV 01 740-038291 C308139 SFP-T
Xcvr 1 REV 02 740-013111 D010902 SFP-T
Xcvr 2 REV 01 740-038291 D392794 SFP-T
Xcvr 3 REV 02 740-013111 C478017 SFP-T
Power Supply 0 REV 04 740-020957 AT0510463809 PS 320W AC
Fan Tray Fan Tray

If its installed recently you can try : show log messages | match plug

Additionally you can use this command "show interface diagnostics optic <interface>"

According to those logs I say it is xe-0/1/4.  Can you share the "show chassis hardware" to double check?

fpc0 CMIC(0/1)(4): SFP+ unplugged
fpc0 CMIC(0/1)(4): SFP+ plugged in

Hi Arix.

Next time please use : show log messages | match plugged

This will give you more refined output.

And "show chassis hardware" wil always help.

But if you want to know the timestamp of when it was plugged in ; you should use "show log messages | match plugged"

Below message correspond to SFP+ unplugged/plugged in port 0/1/4

fpc0 CMIC(0/1)(4): SFP+ unplugged
fpc0 CMIC(0/1)(4): SFP+ plugged in

Hope this helps!!
