    Posted 12-11-2017 02:20

    Hi,

    I'm trying to use trap on SVC-COR-EX23-24T with an other equipment.

    No matter which community I use, the EX2300 add in the trap : default-switch@communityname

    The equipment in charge to receive the trap can't detect the @. How to remove it in the trap sent by the equipment?

    see below config for trap.

    Admin@NAME-EX2300-VSAT# show
    location NAME-LOCAL;
    contact COMPANY;
    client-list COMPANY {
    10.2.24.10/32;
    }
    community public {
    authorization read-only;
    }
    community private {
    authorization read-write;
    }
    trap-options;
    trap-group COMPANY {
    version v2;
    targets {
    10.2.24.10;
    10.2.24.215;
    }
    }
    trap-group public {
    version v1;
    targets {
    10.2.24.10;
    10.2.24.115;
    10.2.24.215;
    }
    }

    Thank you,

    Best regards

    Hi there,

    Please try this command on the box:

    # set snmp trap-options context-oid
    # commit

    It adds this new OID "entLogicalContextName.4" instead.

    Feb 2 09:37:56.392194 snmpd[0] <<< OID : entLogicalContextName.4
    Feb 2 09:37:56.392449 snmpd[0] <<< type : OctetString
    Feb 2 09:37:56.392554 snmpd[0] <<< value: "default-switch"
    Feb 2 09:37:56.392816 snmpd[0] <<< HEX : 64 65 66 61 75 6c 74 2d
    Feb 2 09:37:56.392926 snmpd[0] <<< 73 77 69 74 63 68
    Feb 2 09:37:56.393649 snmpd[0]

    Hope this helps.

    No, I can't, because I'm not the topic starter, I guess.
