how to determined any automation activities is enabled on srx

‎08-28-2019 04:57 AM

Hi all,

I did a small change(only one statement) on the srx and permanent committed succesfully. verification was fine too. After permanent commit, behaviour was expected on the box..No problem. But nearly a day after my commit, junos rollback to previous configuration? This is really weird.!!!!!!!

Is there way to determine whether it was happening on automation activities on box or remotely?

Thx.

Ar.

I guess the first step to check would be to check the commit history to identify the user and date/time that the configuration change (a rollback is still a commit) was made.  After that, check logs at that timestamp to see if you can find any correlation to the change that was made.

Do you see anything present in the commit history that reflects the rollback of the changes that were made?

Hi Arix,

I would start with 'show system commit' and interactive-commands to see the changes made around the time.

That should provide more details on what transpired here.

Cheers

If you have configured the syslog and interactive-commands logging, you should be able to see what happened around the time of last commit. "show system commit" and interactive commands will help in determining if someone logged in.

Thanks!
