Technical Description: Using one single configuration command, make network 2.2.2/24 only reachable inside site 1 (CE1 and CE3) while 1.1.1/24 is also reachable from site 2 (CE2).
For this challenge, you need to start the topology called: “IVORY COAST – OSPF and L3VPN Customized Connectivity”.
The topology shows a L3VPN that uses OSPF as IGP. All CE routers belong to OSPF area 1.
CE1 has interfaces ge-0/0/2.0 with an address 18.104.22.168/24, and ge-0/0/3.0 with an address 22.214.171.124/24. Both interfaces connect to LANs where servers are going to be connected. None of the interfaces participate in the OSPF process.
With the current configuration LANs 1.1.1/24 and 2.2.2/24 can be reached from site 1 (CE1 and CE3) and site 2 (CE2).
The goal of this challenge is to modify the configuration in such way that network 1.1.1/24 can be reached from all CEs while network 2.2.2/24 can only be reached inside site 1 (CE1 and CE3). You need to achieve this goal with just one configuration command in just one router, like this:
<command1> /* load is not permitted */
These are the conditions your solution must meet:
- You are not allowed to modify the configuration of CE2 or PE2.
- CE2 only has to lose connectivity to prefix 2.2.2/24, while maintaining connectivity to the rest of OSPF routes.
To solve this challenge, submit the single set command allowed and the router where it is applied.
The subject should be “<country-name-of-the-challenge> - <your-full-name>”. For example: “Brazil – Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart”.
In the email body, please include your proposed solution, along with your first and last name and complete mailing address including zip/postal code and your shirt size (S, M, L, XL, XXL, XXXL) (Only if you haven’t already submitted your address/shirt size on a previous submission)
Deadline to Respond: Tuesday, 1st of July 23:59:59 Pacific Daylight Time (PDT)
You can try to solve and submit answers for as many active challenges as you wish
The answers will be read by the organization right after the deadline
The challenge instructions are final, and no additional information or tips will be provided before the publication of the solution and the winner list. Please don’t expect a reply from email@example.com.
If you feel that your initial solution is wrong or incomplete, you can send up to three messages for the same challenge, but please note that only your last message (received before the deadline) will be read.
If you think there is an error in the definition of the challenges, please send us an email with subject (“<country-name> ERROR”); if there is no reply, then it’s likely an intentional condition of the challenge, rather than an error.
