Device discovery issue

Hi,

 

I have a problem with device discovery in Space UI.

I had added SRX device to Space using "Discover Devices", then I changed password on SRX and in Space (Discover Devices->Specify Credentials). The device status changed to "Down". Jboss server logged that user authentication had been failed.

 

2012-05-22 08:36:07,307 ERROR [net.juniper.jmp.cmp.deviceIOMgr.DevIOAsyncSshClient] (Thread-30:) User authentication failed on device (ID:393218, IP/192.168.1.1).
2012-05-22 08:36:07,308 ERROR [net.juniper.jmp.cmp.deviceIOMgr.DevIOAsyncSshClient] (Thread-30:) Error: processIncomingData return -1 (IP:/192.168.1.1);

 

Device is available via SSH. After Space reinstall the issue is gone, but it's not a handy way.

Hi, You need not reinstall for this Smiley Happy You do not have to re-discover the device if you change the credentials. After you change the credentials on the device, go to Junos Space Platform->Devices->Manage Devices and Right click and chose Change Device Credentials. This will take care of the updating the credentials on Space. Regards Yesh
