Cannot access J-Web from the internet

HI,

I have access to a SRX-100 Training device which sits at a remote site connected to a PC via console cable.

I have allocated a public IP to fe-0/0/0, set the nameserver and added a route to the gateway. I can ping any device on the internet from the CLI.

I have enabled http and https web-management on fe-0/0/0 however i cannot access the device from the internet.

Looking forward to assistance

Thanks

RNN

Hi usually the security zone is preventing the pin hole. Is this in firewall mode i assume? if you look at your security zone there is host-inbound-traffic options for protocols and services that need to be enabled to let the pinhole in on the fe-0/0/0 interface. an example is below...

I have an fe-0/0/0 interface by default it has some options out of the box, and then there is pp0 which is the pppoe interface for my dsl. It has ike ssh ping and some other features enabled, if i wanted to have http i would just add http/https to the hierarchy.

user@firewall> show configuration security zones security-zone untrust
screen untrust-screen;
interfaces {
    fe-0/0/0.0 {
        host-inbound-traffic {
            system-services {
                dhcp;
                tftp;
            }
        }
    }
    pp0.0 {
        host-inbound-traffic {
            system-services {
                ike;
                ssh;
                https;
                ping;
            }
        }
    }
}
