  • 1.  Command to check tacacs information

    Hi all,

Is there any command like Cisco's "show tacacs-server statistics" on JunOS?

I am adding few servers and I want to know if everything is fine from a Juniper device rather than having to check on the tacacs itself.

I see that using monitor traffic is one way, but I am looking for a more specific purpose.

Please share anything that you think might help.

    Thanks,

    Nex

Unfortunately, there is no command to check tacacs statistics like Cisco.

As mentioned in this techpubs documenation the step to verify is ::

From configuration mode, enter the show system tacplus-server command.

    https://www.juniper.net/documentation/en_US/junos/topics/topic-map/user-access-tacacs-authentication.html#jd0e749

There is no separate command from the operational mode to verify this.

    Arpit,

Thank you for the help. Yes the mentioned configurational command can be used to check the committed config and not the statistics though.

Like you and Nellikka rightly mentioned, there seems to be no command unlike IOS.

General authentication traceoptions can be used, to check for connection details for TACACS.
