The above output of yours indicate an unprovisioned VC and by default every switch will be in the same state. This is the state of a stand-alone switch. It will be part of a VC only when connect it to another switch through the VC ports.
So you do not have to anything specific to disable VC. Regarding the mode, FYI, the Mixed Mode tab in the "show virtual-chassis status detail" indicates the mode of the VC. If Yes, it is in mixed mode, if No(N), it is is normal mode.
