EX4200 rollback after a power cycle

‎02-19-2018 07:23 AM

I have Juniper Switch EX4200 running under OS 15.1R5.5 .

After I commit some configuration, after a power cycle,  I see that the switch rollback automatically. Anyone can help?

Did you do something like "commit confirmed"  that it will rollback due to time or that it was not confirmed?

Did the switch power cycle right after the commit? BTW, What was the config you commit?

Dear Karan,

Let s take an example of "delete interfaces ge-0/0/0" or  "set vlans Test vlan-id 20 " and then "commit and-quit" . After that, if I perform a  power cycle to the EX device, i will not find  the new vlan created and the deleted interface will reappear.

Otherwise,  If I perform a "rollback 1", I see the  done configuration before the reboot.

I know there is something weird. You reply is highly appreciated.

Hi Charbel,

Does this happen everytime? or this just this one time that after configuration change and post reboot the recent former config was rolled back?

Check this kb: [EX/QFX] Configuration is lost after reboot or a power cycle:
